Idea: Del.icio.us Map
I recently noticed that del.icio.us offers JSON feeds and realized that it would be a good place for bookmarking places. What would need to be done is to write a simple page that took the referrer, determined the user name, and grabbed the JSON of all that users maps for x tag. Each map bookmark would have the address in the name, and a description in the note. Perhaps, a tool could also be created to mark points on a map and bookmark those. Naturally, there bugs that need to be considered. For example, the referrer won’t always be from del.icio.us. The first version, then, would have to have the user name input manually, or as a fragment identifier in the URI.
