Here’s a little excercise I did with Google Spreadsheets. This spreadsheet imports the past 365 days of weather infomation and compares it to historical averages. Also, its fun at this time of the year seeing the weather getting warmer, day by day.

Ubiquity command updated - EPL Search

I’ve updated the ‘epl search’ ubiquity command, which search the Edmonton Public Library catalogue. You can now specify a format limit, like ‘video’ or ‘book’.

If you don’t live in Edmonton, feel free to modify my code for your own version.

New Ubiquity Command: make-new-doc

This one’s useful for anybody that uses Google Docs. It allows you to skip the main screen and go straight into a new document, spreadsheet, presentation, or upload. More information at the link.

Make-New-Doc

(update: It doesn’t seem to work on my laptop, despite working on the other two computers that I’ve tested it on. Instead it takes you to the menu. If you try this command, let me know if it doesn’t work.)
